Have You Ever Sworn Off Wearing Shoes?

Have you ever bought a bad pair of shoes before? Some that rubbed your feet no matter how much you wore them in, to the point that you couldn’t even go out for a short walk in them? I know I have. And after giving them enough chances to come comfortable I reluctantly threw them in the bin.
You know what i DIDN’T do next?
I didn’t swear off shoes for the rest of my life.
Seems obvious right? I was, and am, rational enough to know that the next pair of shoes I buy have the potential to be extremely comfortable. Or at least allow me to tolerate wearing them out and about. My one bad experience doesn’t write the script for every subsequent experience I will have.
This doesn’t just hold true for bad shoes either. It's the same in most walks of life. Experiences in relationships, types of food, places you visit etc etc.
I mention this because it’s something we hear in conversations we have with potential new clients over and over again regarding their health. For example, sometimes it’s ‘I tried this diet and it didn’t work so clearly diets won’t work for me’ or ‘I joined a gym but i didn’t like the atmosphere so i quit going to gyms’ or ‘That physio/chiropractor/osteopath down the road were sh*t so why should i trust you?’
One, or even a few bad experience(s) does not mean all will be the same. It just means you haven’t found the right experience for you yet. There are hundreds if not thousands more to try all with different experiences ready for you to take advantage of. One thing is for sure though, as soon as you stop trying all of that potential goes to waste.
