Change Is Easier Than You Think

One thing we always push our clients to create in their lives is CHANGE.
Without change our lives will remain the same. To know whether that's a good thing or not, remember what you were doing 5 years ago. What job you were doing, your relationships, your financial situation, your state of health and do the same for how you are today.
If you are in a much better position now than you were 5 years ago, the likelihood is lots of things have changed.
If your situation is the same or worse now than it was 5 years ago, the likelihood very little has changed.
This reminds me of a blog I wrote roughly 12 months ago “ Can I Predict Your Future?”. If you haven't already, go back and read it. Our website now has an amazing search engine feature.
But, the purpose of today is about generating change.
One exercise we ALL do here at peak when we are faced with a life challenge is troubleshooting a solution, AND, taking 1 action on that solution there and then.
This normally comes in the form of contacting somebody to help us overcome said challenge.
By sending that email, filling in that application form, you have started to generate change. Because every marathon started with the first step, and that's often the most difficult one today.
We are so good at creating excuses and reasons for ourselves to not start something now, or why some point in the future is a better time.
Instead of delaying the start of the process, make the first step straight away. AND, you’ll often find it's a lot easier than you thought it would be.
This exercise has helped me so many times already this year.
Incoming personal growth brag….
So far this year I have already;
Seen a functional health practitioner and continued to work with them for 3 months.
Had numerous visits and procedures at the dentist every month, AND, hopefully getting braces next month.
And most recently, I started to have counseling sessions to overcome personal character flows to better provide care for my clients.
None of the above NEEDED to happen. But I will certainly grow as a person once I have done them. AND all started with taking that first action on the 1st day.
