Andrew was born in Burton-Upon-Trent and has lived in the Staffordshire Moorlands since he was 8 years old.
Andrew is fully registered with the General Chiropractic Council and is a full member of the British Chiropractic Association being granted the title 'Doctor of Chiropractic' (DC). Further to this he is also a Licentiate member of the Royal College of Chiropractors (LRCC).
Andrew is now also a member of the Royal College of Chiropractors Post Graduate Training Committee for 2016-2019 to help contribute to the ever increasing standards of training within the profession.
Having completed a 4 years Masters of Chiropractic Degree (MChiro) at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic he moved back into the local area as an Associate Chiropractor. During his first year in practice he was awarded ' UK Outstanding Graduate of the Year' by the Royal College of Chiropractors when he won the Graeme Heale Award.
Since then Andrew has continued his career by establishing Peak Chiropractic and Kinesiology which in its first year won the Royal College of Chiropractors Patient Partnership Quality Mark (PPQM). This has been followed up in the second year by being awarded the Royal College of Chiropractors Clinical Management Quality Mark (CMQM).
In what little Spare time he has Andrew enjoys nothing more than getting out into the Peak District (the inspiration for the name of the clinic) for long walks and days spent fishing.
Andrew Smy (Doctor of Chiropractic, MChiro, LRCC)
Daniel was born in Yateley, Hampshire and lived there until moving to Stoke to study Sports Therapy at Staffordshire University.
Having been very influenced by sport growing up and studying at Hartpury College, Daniel followed this passion to study Sports Therapy at University earning himself the title ‘Bsc Sports Therapy’ having completed his 3 year Bachelor of Sciences degree in the summer of 2017. The course trained Daniel to effectively diagnose and treat all common musculoskeletal injuries and pain patterns. Further to this, his degree taught Daniel how to aid the prevention of injuries through supportive treatment and customised rehabilitation.
Throughout his time as a student Daniel gained significant experience working with individual athletes and sports teams as well as treating members of the general public.
Daniel is a full member of The Sports Therapy Organisation, granting him access to the most up to date research and news surrounding the application of Sports Therapy within private healthcare sector.
Looking forward over the next few years of his career Daniel is keen to broaden his knowledge of Applied Kinesiology allowing him to successfully manage nutritional and emotional issues alongside his structural treatment, it is this which has led him to working at Peak Chiropractic where Applied Kinesiology heavily influences the clinics diagnostic and treatment protocols.
In Daniels spare time he is still very passionate about sport and plays with the local Volleyball Teams.
Daniel Thompson (Bsc Sports Therapy)
Siobhan was born and raised in Burton upon Trent and moved to the North West in 2010 to start her studies in Sports Therapy, and now lives in Macclesfield.
Siobhan graduated from the University of Central Lancashire in 2013 with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Therapy. Within her three years of study Siobhan gained valuable experience on her placements within semi-professional rugby, alongside running a weekly clinic for students, helping them get back to a variety of sports.
Since graduation Siobhan has worked in both the sports and private sector increasing her skills as a practitioner and within the last four years stepped into personal training alongside her clinic work.
Siobhan has gone on to gain qualifications in APPI Physiotherapy-Led Pilates, Pre and Post- natal Pilates and Precision Nutrition Level 1, embedding an all-rounded approach to helping people on their journey to living pain free.
In the future Siobhan wishes to continue her studies in women’s health, especially in post- natal women, along-side knowledge of applied kinesiology, to provide an all-rounded approach to pain in pre and post-natal care.
In her spare time Siobhan loves to keep active and set herself new challenges. Over the past few years this has seen Siobhan complete two marathons, alongside half marathons, triathlon and hockey. When she’s not involving herself in sport Siobhan enjoys long dog walks in the countryside and reading around personal development.
